Fiber Internet:
Coming soon!
We’re expanding E-vergent’s 100% fiber optic network to bring fast, reliable internet to your community.
As construction begins, you may notice crews working in utility easements, road right-of-ways, and neighborhood pathways. This page explains what to expect, how the process works, and what happens next.
Pre-Construction

Step 1 – Survey
Our team will begin by surveying your neighborhood to evaluate existing utility infrastructure, property layouts, and access routes. This planning phase helps us design the most efficient fiber deployment possible while minimizing disruption during construction.

Step 2: Permitting
We obtain all necessary permits and approvals from local governing agencies. This allows our crews to utilize rights-of-way and utility easements to ensure the project is completed safely, legally, and with minimal disruption to the community.

Step 3 – Utility Marking
Before construction begins we request locates on all utilities. All utilities will be marked with temporary, water-based paint and color coded flags. This ensures we can dig safely and avoid damaging existing infrastructure.

Step 4 – Fiber Construction
After utilities are marked, crews begin underground construction using horizontal boring to install conduit. Small access holes are made for each drill path and access vaults are installed along the route. When this is completed fiber is placed inside the conduit and spliced.

Step 5: Restoration
After construction is complete, crews restore disturbed areas by backfilling holes, adding topsoil, grading surfaces, and planting grass seed to return the area as close as possible to its original condition.

Step 6 – Fiber Installation
At this stage fiber internet is now ready to be installed to your home. You will receive a postcard letting you know service is ready. If you have not already pre-signed for service you can sign up at this time and schedule installation.

Frequently Asked Questions About Construction
Have questions about our construction process? We have answers!
Yes, we are permitted and authorized to utilize utility easements and road right of way (ROW) during construction.
A utility easement is a designated portion of land where utility companies are legally allowed to install and maintain infrastructure like fiber lines, power, water, or gas.
A road right-of-way (ROW) is land reserved for public use—typically for roads, sidewalks, and utilities. It’s usually owned or controlled by a local government (city, county, or state).
Timelines vary by project, but we typically organize construction into month-long segments. Weather, permitting, and other factors can impact overall timing.
We are constructing a 100% fiber optic network in your city. Much like other utilities we are making this available to as many people as possible. You have no obligation to sign up for service.
